Avon had reached out asking me to be a part of their Boss Life campaign; empowering women to think big. But what is thinking big? And what does that even mean? I think though, that most commonly people can only imagine what they think to be possible, without realizing that what they can actually imagine can be the extent of their future. Avon recently commissioned a survey that revealed most Americans (around 80 percent) would love to be their own boss. Why is this?

I had to think a bit deeper as to why people want to be their own boss, and ultimately what it means to be a managerial figure. I think that ultimately, small businesses are what run the economy, and to be a boss is not a power trip to some, rather, a feeling of making a difference in the world of business. For me, something as simple as a democratic management style, something that I have never had in my previous jobs/internships, is important for me to make that happy working environment for people who thrive on flexibility and openness to new ideas. And while it may not mean something to some people, it means something to other people who are looking for just that.

So here’s to Avon, for empowering women to rock at their jobs… to be great boss’s, and lead most interesting and fulfilling lives while inspiring others and making a difference. Because when all is said and done, the maternal way is the only way to do that.

Favorite products featured here from Avon; their amazing perfumes one of which is So Very Sofia by Sofia Vergara. Avon True Color Wide Awake Mascara that I always carry with me and ANEW Ultimate Supreme Performance Creme which I have started to use at night for ultimate hydration so I don’t wake up blotchy.
