End of summer layering.
It’s hard to come by interesting clothing; a high end look, without merely breaking the bank. Everything is cut so basic, hard to really differentiate from one another. How many times can you buy the same basic blazer? Here, by Nasty Gal, a representation of what they would be considered to be a cape. But in this instance, there is an apparent contrasted leather lapel giving off the illusion of a jacket. What’s cape-like however is the sleeves brought over the shoulder. I have also been lusting over lot of Nasty Gal lately.
This outfit was a quick throw on; all black as usual. But what is really great is this easy summer transition to fall. All of which is dark, adhering to a colder aesthetic, but unlikely to sweat and pant under the hot sun. And if you’re in NY, the prospect of embracing such humidity. Not a good feeling when your clothes feel stickier than you do. In any event; short, black, and cool is the way to go for this time of year.
Hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend!
